Physique Pal is designed to store your workout and nutrition data locally on your device. Some optional features, such as ads, subscriptions, and AI features, involve third-party services that may process limited information to function properly.
Data Collection and Storage
Local, on-device data
- Workout history, routines, and any nutrition entries you save are stored on your device.
- Physique Pal does not require you to create an account to use the app.
Data transmitted for specific features
Physique Pal may transmit limited information only when needed to provide certain features, such as:
- Displaying ads in the free version.
- Managing Premium subscriptions.
- Generating AI responses for Premium AI features.
Physique Pal does not sell your personal information.
AI Features
Physique Pal offers optional Premium AI features, including AI Photo Macros and AI Coach.
What is sent
- AI Photo Macros: the meal photo you choose to analyze is sent for processing.
- AI Coach: the messages you type are sent for processing.
Why it is sent
- To generate your AI response, such as macro estimates or coaching guidance.
How it is sent
- AI requests are routed through our secure server and then sent to an AI service provider, OpenAI, to generate a response.
Storage
- Physique Pal does not store your meal photos or AI chat messages on our servers.
- Your saved workout and nutrition tracking data remains on your device.
Important note
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, such as medical details, passwords, or financial information, through the AI features.
Third-Party Services
Physique Pal integrates with certain third-party services to provide ads, subscriptions, and AI functionality.
Google AdMob
The free version displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect information, such as device identifiers and usage data, to serve personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your device settings and consent choices.
This data collection is handled by Google. Physique Pal does not receive or store your AdMob advertising data.
RevenueCat
Physique Pal uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription status information to help us verify Premium access.
Physique Pal does not receive your full payment details. Payments are handled by Apple.
OpenAI
Physique Pal uses OpenAI to generate responses for Premium AI features, including AI Photo Macros and AI Coach.
Photos and text you submit to these features are processed to provide the requested AI output.
Security
We take security seriously and use reasonable safeguards to protect information during transmission. Most app data is stored locally on your device. For features that require network requests, such as ads, subscriptions, and AI, data is transmitted using secure connections.
