AI Coach
A coach that has actually seen your training.
Physique Pal's AI Coach reads the sets you really logged — weights, reps, frequency, volume per muscle — and answers from them. Not generic advice with a chat interface.

Most fitness chatbots have never seen you train
Ask a general-purpose chatbot why your bench has stalled and you will get a competent, entirely generic answer: check your sleep, eat enough protein, consider deloading, vary your rep ranges. All reasonable. None of it derived from anything you have actually done.
It cannot be, because it has no idea what your bench has done over the last eight weeks, how many hard pressing sets you get a week, or that you have not changed the weight since March. Advice without your numbers is a search result with a friendlier tone.

This one reads your log first
Physique Pal's AI Coach is connected to your training history. When you ask a question, it looks at the sets you logged — the exercises, the weights, the reps, the frequency, the volume per muscle group — and answers from that.
So "why has my bench stalled?" gets a response about your bench: that the top set has been 185 for five weeks, that your pressing volume dropped when you cut a day, that your triceps work disappeared somewhere in there. Specific enough to act on, because it came from your data.
- Reads your logged sets, personal records, and volume by muscle group
- Answers about specific lifts, not fitness in general
- Can build and adjust routines using exercises from the full library
- Knows what you trained recently, so it accounts for recovery
It can build the routine, not just describe one
Asking for a push/pull/legs split and receiving a wall of text you then have to type into an app yourself is a strange way to save time.
The AI Coach can assemble a routine directly — real exercises from the library, in a structure you can start on your next session. You review it, change what you want, and it is in your app. When something is not working six weeks later, you ask it to adjust rather than starting over.

Where your data goes, stated plainly
AI features are the one part of Physique Pal that has to leave your device — answering a question about your training means sending the relevant training details to a third-party AI provider for processing.
That is opt-in, it is described in specifics rather than as "your data", and everything else stays local by default: your workout log lives on your device, and no account is required to use the tracker.
AI coaching questions
How is this different from asking ChatGPT about my training?
Context. A general chatbot answers from what it knows about training in general; the AI Coach answers from your logged sets — the actual weights, reps, exercises and frequency in your history. The difference shows up most on questions like "why has this lift stalled", where the useful answer depends entirely on what you have been doing.
What can I ask it?
Why a lift has stopped moving, what to train next given what you did this week, whether a muscle group is being neglected, how to structure a split around the days you actually have, or to build and then adjust a routine. Anything where the answer depends on your training history is where it is strongest.
Can it write me a workout routine?
Yes, and it creates it in the app rather than describing it in a message. It uses real exercises from the library, you can edit anything before or after, and you can ask it to revise the routine later as things change.
Does my workout data leave my device?
Only for AI features, and only what is relevant to the question. Those features are opt-in and processed by a third-party AI provider — the privacy policy names who and what specifically. The rest of the app, including your full workout log, is stored on your device by default and needs no account.
Is the AI Coach free?
It is part of Premium, which starts with a 3-day free trial. The workout tracker itself — logging, routines, 1,000+ exercises with video, rest timer and history — is free to use without it.
Should I trust AI coaching?
Treat it as a well-informed training partner that has read your logbook, not as a medical professional. It is good at spotting patterns in your data and suggesting sensible next steps; it does not know about your injuries, medications or medical history unless you tell it, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or a qualified coach when something hurts.
